Greenwich is in the south-east of London, near to the river Thames. It is famous for its maritime history and its pier. In the past there were many boats and ships. One of these ships is now a museum, Cutty Sark! How cool is that? In Greenwich you can also find the "Meridian Line" at the Royal Observatory: This line tells you what time it is in other countries all over the world. In London they have got Greenwich Mean Time (GMT). This is the "normal" time. Other countries have got other "times", for example GMT+1. This means that if it's 10 o'clock in London, it's 11 o'clock in Berlin (+1).
Other sights in Greenwich are Greenwich Park, Greenwich Leisure Centre and Mudchute Farm. There's also a rose garden and a boating lake.
